Sara's story
“Before coming to TREY, life was scary, hard, and exhausting. I knew if I didn’t make a change, I might not make it out. I came because I wanted something better for myself, and better for my son. When I first met Amber and the team, it felt different right away. It wasn’t cold or clinical. It was calm, light, and human. I actually felt welcomed, which wasn’t something I was used to.
The one-on-one time, the staff, the programs… everything made me feel like I mattered. TREY helped me steady myself and rebuild piece by piece. As of today, I’ve been sober almost three years now, something I had NEVER been able to do before coming here. I run a small business, my son has his mom back in a way he never did before, and I’m finally in control of my own life. I’ve found my voice again, and for the first time, I actually believe it deserves to be heard.
Hope used to mean surviving another day. But being at TREY showed me that hope can be bigger than that. It can mean having goals, planning a future, and believing I’m capable of more. TREY gave me the safety and support to figure that out. It helped me find my voice again, and a life I never thought I’d get to have.”
