To learn how to be safe physically and emotionally.To attend to medical needs, addictions, STD’s, etc.To attend to psychological needs in partnership with a therapist, and address challenges with anxiety, depression, PTS, disassociation, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, assertiveness, relationship boundaries, emotional regulation.To develop healthy eating habits, as well as sleeping patterns.To explore interests (ie. horse riding and care for animals), set goals, make decisions and follow through on decisions.Build life skills, budgeting, culinary skills, self advocating, recreational activities.Improving employment skills, finish high school, learn a trade, seek higher education.Participate in spiritual direction: addressing topics such as shame, guilt, anger, hurt, loneliness, fear, trust, forgiveness, hope, and freedom.Ultimately to learn what it means to be FREE.
Counsellors have a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Other volunteers would have a secondary education in chosen field of service or several years of experience. All staff are required to have a criminal record check and child abuse registry check.
An accomplished licensed female physician who specializes in Women’s Care. Physician partners with The Women Centre in area.
Residents are required to work together to prepare one healthy meal a day and join around the table. All those who gather around the table are considered part of the TREY family. Guidance and education in food preparation is provided.
Be willing to explore and participate in activities that interest them such as hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, skating, skiing, martial arts, horse back riding, etc. TREY believes activity improves health and lifts one’s spirit.
Anyone who is 16 years old and older who has experienced sexual exploitation at the hands of pimps, traffickers or buyers of sex.

It varies depending on the level of trauma and level of readiness for change.
When a resident finishes the program they are honoured with a graduation. The resident participates in a program for transitioning making sure she has adequate supports and resources. If the resident is willing, contact will continue when she leaves the program to encourage her through challenges that may arise.
It is the resident’s choice to decide when she leaves the program. TREY’s hope is that she completes the program and she will be encouraged to do so. It is ultimately the resident’s choice to stay or leave any time throughout the program.
No, one does not need to be a Christian to participate in TREY’s program. TREY’s Program is faith based. Faith based to TREY means we value honesty, respect, kindness, integrity, and justice. We treat each other with unconditional love and maintain a nonjudgmental environment. We honour each other and embrace each person’s uniqueness. The Spirit of God’s Love dwells in those who work at TREY and we desire to use that extravagant Love to restore wholeness, healing, hope, and freedom to those who have been wounded and hurt.
All donations will be used for board-approved projects and programs for which they are given. Should contributions exceed requirements for completion or project terminated, funds will be redirected where most needed within TREY as approved by the board of directors.
