TREY provides trauma-informed, relationship-based support for survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking across Nova Scotia.

Safe Housing (16+)
**Temporarily paused during restructuring, reopening in January 2026.
A secure, supportive home for women exiting exploitation, offering safety, stability, and wrap-around care.
Supports include:
- 24/7 trauma-informed staff
- Life-skills and daily living support
- Healthcare, legal, and community connections
- Individualized case planning
- Emotional wellness and grounding activities
Outcomes: Stability, housing security, and a strong foundation for long-term healing.
Outreach & Aftercare
Mobile, relationship-based support for survivors across Nova Scotia. We meet individuals where they feel safest and walk with them through each step of healing.
Supports include:
- Safety planning and crisis support
- Emotional wellbeing and healthy relationship guidance
- Transportation for essential appointments
- Court and legal navigation
- Housing, income, ID, and benefits assistance
- Education and employment support
- Long-term relational care
Goals: Increased stability, fewer crises, improved housing security, and sustained support networks.


Education & Prevention
Training for schools, workplaces, churches, and community groups to reduce the risk of exploitation and strengthen community response.
Topics include:
- Understanding exploitation and trafficking
- Grooming and recruitment tactics
- Trauma-informed responses
- Online safety
- Safe handling of disclosures
Goals: Awareness, safer environments, and reduced risk through prevention and early intervention.
